What we do
Whether you need to evaluate an existing playground or plan a new one from scratch, we provide independent, unbiased expertise — with no equipment to sell and no vendor relationships to protect.
No commissions. No kickbacks. Just what's right for your site.
We don't sell equipment, accept referral fees, or perform the repairs we recommend. That independence is the point — our only job is to give you the most accurate picture of your playground and your options.
Existing playground
A thorough on-site evaluation covering fall surfacing, structural integrity, entrapment hazards, hardware condition, and ADA accessibility — aligned to CPSC guidelines and ASTM F1487. You receive a photo-documented compliance report within five business days, prioritized by risk level.

New playground
Planning a new playground or full replacement? We manage the sourcing and bid process on your behalf — independently. We'll walk your site, develop specifications, solicit bids from qualified vendors, review proposals, and help you make a confident, informed decision. No commissions, no preferred vendors.

Straight answers for facilities managers, school administrators, and procurement staff evaluating a playground safety inspection.
Pricing depends on the number of structures, site size, and whether you need a single-site or multi-site inspection. Most single-site inspections for schools, daycares, and HOAs are a flat fee, with discounted per-site pricing for organizations managing multiple playgrounds. Contact us for a quote specific to your site.
CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) publishes the federal handbook for public playground safety — it's the foundational guidance most licensing bodies reference. ASTM F1487 is the more detailed, testable industry standard for playground equipment design, installation, and maintenance. A CPSI inspection evaluates your site against both.
No — and that's intentional. Schulte Safety is inspection-only. We have no financial interest in recommending repairs, which means our findings are never influenced by upsell. We will help you prioritize issues, vet contractor scopes, and confirm corrective work, but the repair work itself is performed by a vendor of your choosing.
Most licensed childcare facilities, schools, and parks departments schedule a comprehensive CPSI inspection annually, supplemented by routine staff checks in between. High-traffic sites or older equipment may warrant more frequent professional inspections.
